Nutmeg Cake

Ingredients
- 2 Cups Dark Brown Sugar
- 2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Tsp Baking Powder
- ¼ Tsp Salt
- ¾ Cub Butter
- 1 Tsp Baking Soda
- 1 Cup Whole Milk
- 1 Large Egg
- 2 Tsp Nutmeg Powder
- 1 Cup Icing Sugar For dusting
Instructions
- Beat brown sugar flour, baking powder, and salt.,
- Add butter and beat again until it looks like breadcrumbs
- Spread half of the crumbs mixture over the pan
- In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, baking soda and the nutmeg powder
- Beat the milk mixture and the crumb mixture until well combined
- Pour this mixture into the cake tray and pat a little
- Put the cake tray into a pre-heated oven
- Bake for about 50 to 60 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean
- Transfer the cake to a tray and cook for about 10 minutes
- Once cooled, sift the icing sugar over the top of the cake.
